Ms. Behavior – Ericka Mullinix, M.S., BCBA, LBA, BHP

I am a Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst with over 25 years of clinical experience across the United States and the Middle East. As a former Clinical Director, I led the integration of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) into a psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR) model, incorporating trauma-informed practices, and Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT). I collaborated with multi-disciplinary teams to support adolescents and young adults with severe problem behavior and co-occurring ID/DD + SMI diagnoses, most of whom had experienced significant trauma, long-term out-of-home community placements, extensive inpatient hospitalizations, long-term residential treatment placements, EMS contact, and incarceration. Through these efforts, individuals reunited with their families, transitioned off probation, and reduced hospitalizations while gaining essential life skills and improving overall quality of life.
Recognizing the significant impact of trauma, I integrated trauma-informed practices into this hybrid intervention model from its inception. Additionally, I initiated research on interventions I developed, including the application of ACT in behavior intervention strategies, ensuring our approaches remained at the forefront of evidence-based practice.
As an independent consultant, I offer services within these realms, providing expert guidance in integrating TIC into ABA services to support comprehensive behavioral treatment. I offer international consultation and remote training, advising organizations and government officials on best practices in autism treatment and behavior analytic services. My focus remains on supporting the integration of effective, evidence-based solutions for underserved populations while supporting and honoring the self-advocacy of patients and our patient population.
